Welcome to this website. My name is
Susan Hayward and I am Founder & Managing Director of Phoenix Community
Action Network - a company limited by
guarantee and a business with a social purpose (see
Social
Enterprise) set up to support small businesses and voluntary groups in
practical ways and to encourage people to live and work in harmony with
Universal Laws, particularly the
Law of Attraction, to help people achieve
better lives for themselves and others through work and good
relationships.
Background
In the late 1980's, a business providing a free
24/7 helpline to the community which was funded by providing telephone
answering services to small businesses was set up. A newsletter
was sent out to households and clients with the idea of being a proper
magazine in time called Good Services. A dummy magazine sat amongst paperwork in a box until a traumatic event made me bring it out again in
1998.
Since then, I have been travelling on an
amazing journey and attracting wonderful people into my life.

The vision
Phoenix C.A.N is a vehicle to:
support social entrepreneurs
unite small businesses with small
voluntary groups in order to form Joint Ventures where possible
for businesses to sponsor groups by providing
services, funds or resources to supplement any grants they have so that
they can function better
to raise awareness and funds to support
Community Champions and work with other charities such as
The Scarman Trust.
To cover our own administration costs, we now have three trading
arms run by different people:
